Solar Solutions

1. Solar Lantern
The Millenium Synergy Solar Lantern (Sun ‘O’ Mate) is a portable milk-white light source.

The Solar Lantern includes components needed for usage: A photovoltaic module generates the electricity required for powering lantern. A sealed maintenance-free battery stores generated for use during non sunshine hours. The built-in charge controller charges thebattery and protects the battery from overcharge and deep discharge. The high frequency inverter optimizes the light output by converting the power. Battery, charge controller and inverter are integrated in the body of the lantern. Two LEDs indicate charging and low battery status.

Features

  • Environmentally-friendly, unlimited energy from the sun
  • Safe and easy in operation
  • Pure white light in 360º
  • Approved as per MNRE specification
  • Easy to carry, attractive plastic housing

2. Solar Street Light
The Street Light is an illumination device powered by PV Module for applications like Gardens, small village lanes, boundary lighting etc. It provides visible lighting upto 30 feet on either side providing 180º illumination through a 11W Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL). Normally the street light applications are housed on to a 5 mtr pole with provision for mounting PV module, luminary and battery housing to keep lead acid batteries. The street applications are designed to switch ON and OFF by a photo electric sensor which switches ON at the sunset and switch OFF at Sun Rise. This facility is defined as Dusk to Dawn. The solar street lights can be designed to suite the lumens level required by increasing / decreasing the module wattage, battery Ah capacity etc.

3. Solar Water heating system
The solar water heating system comprises of a solar collector, toughened glass, insulated storage tank, cold water supply tank and insulated piping, to deliver hot water for bathing and washing purposes. The heat generated from the sun is absorbed by the heat collectors. The heat absorbed by the cold water inside the tank increases its temperature. The heated water gets collected inside the insulated storage tank either through the thermosyphon or the forced flow system.
The solar water heating system can be used for bathing, washing, boiler feed water and similar other purposes where hot water is required in domestic, commercial and industrial sectors. The costs of the solar water heating systems are subsidized by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of India, thus making the cost viable and attractive.

Further it helps to save electrical energy used for heating water through electric geysers. In terms of energy saving this equipment offers maximum advantage. The life of the system is around 10-15 years if maintained properly. The help consumers with the cost of the solar water heater, soft loans are available from nationalized banks at subsidized interest rates.

Features

  • Rust proof outer body-storage tank is made of corrosion resistant stainless steel SS 304 and PP coated aluminum cladding (Advantage-Weather proof, durable and corrosion resistant) Superior Insulation Storage tank is thermally insulted with high density PUF (Advantage-Maximum heat retention)
  • Clear Toughened Glass (Advantage for better transmission of solar radiation and high durability)
  • Sturdy Construction: Unique PP coated aluminum frame designed to withstand mechanical shocks (Advantage-Long life ensuring durability)
  • High efficiency absorber: Copper absorber specially coated with selective black chrome for maximum solar absorption (Advantage: Improves heat absorption even during partly sunny day)
  • Sacrificial Anode to prevent galvanic corrosion

Applications

  • Residential: Flats, houses and Apartments
  • Bulk Consumers: Hotels, Hospitals, Hostels and Dormitories
  • Industrial: Process Industries, Preheating boiler feed water

4. Solar Water Pump
Solar Water Pumps are reliable compare to windmills, as this is independent of wind velocity and also not location specific. Solar Water Pumps are easy to install especially in areas with little exposure to wind. A solar water pump produces most water when it is needed the most when the weather is sunny and dry. Our aim is to provide you with the most efficient, durable and economical pump available for your application. The water is pumped out to the ground level during sunshine hours which can be stored in reservoirs for use in non-sunshine hours also.

Features

  • Extremely long life span (20 years)
  • Start running from as little as 27 W
  • Work by low light conditions
  • Can reduce system cost by 25% to 75% compared to conventional AC pumps in Off-grid applications
  • No battery – simple, reliable
  • Tank stores water ~ 5 – 10 days of storage
  • Day-long, slow pumping good for slow wells and long pipelines
